Important safety information
BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream (hydroquinone 4%) is indicated for the short-term and intermittent long-term treatment of dark discolorations in the skin. In order to improve outcome, BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream should be used with measures for sun exposure limitations, like using sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to sulfites since BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream contains sulfites which may cause severe, life-threatening allergic reactions. BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream contains hydroquinone. Hydroquinone may rarely cause a gradual blue-black darkening of the skin. In addition, burning, itching, dryness, redness, and peeling may occur. There is inadequate evidence in humans for the carcinogenicity of hydroquinone and limited evidence in experimental animals. You should not use BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream if you are pregnant, nursing or trying to become pregnant. Exposure to sunlight, sunlamps, or UV light and extreme heat or cold should be limited. BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream should not be used with irritating products such as abrasive cleansers, scrubs, skin-peeling agents, or with light and laser procedures. The use of BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream should be limited to once daily at night to relatively small areas of the body such as the face, hands and décolleté. BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream is for external use only; it is not for ophthalmic use. Keep BLANCHE® Skin Lightening Cream out of reach of children.
